How we work…
We work around your photography and/or videography team throughout the day, communicating with them where necessary, particularly during key moments such as the ceremony, confetti, speeches and first dance.
Your photographer has been carefully chosen to document your wedding and will have their own approach, positioning and shot list. We don’t deliberately obstruct an important photograph or ask you to repeat a moment simply for content.
We are constantly mindful of the photographer/videographer’s needs throughout the day and it is a priority for us that they are able to capture all of the shots from the angles they need.
We take a discreet approach on the day. Most of the time, we're simply there to capture what is happening around us. Your photographer will usually take the lead when it comes to your group photos and couples portraits. Occasionally a photographer may ask if we want to give any input during a couples shoot, in which case we may offer some ideas, other than this, we are there to capture live reactions and moments as they unfold.
It's important to understand that wedding content creation is a separate service from wedding videography. We don't aim to replicate the work of a videographer. Instead, we capture your day from an authentic behind-the-scenes perspective using iPhone.
So here’s how we approach a couple of key points in the day…
Ceremony:
We don’t usually film the ceremony in one long video from beginning to end, instead we aim to capture the key moments as individual videos. We are also mindful of the officiant’s requirements and will always follow the guidance of the venue and officiant.
Throughout the ceremony we are mindful of the photographer’s position, ensuring they are able to get an optimal angle, so we try to stay out of their shots as much as we can.
We usually won’t film the signing of the register, as quite often this is not permitted.
Speeches:
We primarily film the person giving the speech, while also moving between them and the reactions of your guests, capturing the laughter, tears, cheers and all those little reactions that can be just as special as the speech itself.
Our aim is for you to have beautiful professional photographs and wedding content that complement each other, rather than compete with one another.
Edits:
We will send over any edited videos with licensed music. We can make sure that your sneak peek reel (if receiving two edits) or highlight reel (if receiving one edit) works well with a song from the day for example your aisle walk song, first dance song or one of your chosen songs, so that if posting to instagram, you can add this preferred song from Instagram’s inbuilt music library.
